Jon Ericson, Communities Manager with the OpenSSL Foundation, reports on the state of the OpenSSL community as of release 3.6.
My plan would be to present a talk similar to what I've released on YouTube for 3.5: https://www.youtube.com/embed/bKGbNQAe5J0?si=Lw5olhC94jRXaePA
I would update the numbers for 3.6 and likely go into more detail for a longer talk. (My goal with YouTube was to keep it around 20 minutes.)
My talk would include:
* A history of community participation in the OpenSSL project
* Key moments of growth
* Highlighting key members of the community
* Encourage people who are on the fence to join
